Cola de mono drink?

 Like the Eater bread, The Cola de mono drink is very representative of the country of Chile and more so in the December season. The Cola de mono has been a part of the Chritmas tradition for may generation. It is a very popular drink, although apparently it is more consumed by older generations.

The basic recipe for Cola de mono consists of a mixture of spiced milk with cinnamon, cloves, orange peel, coffee, and a touch of brandy or pisco to give the drink a boost. Perhaps this mixture seems familiar to you, since there are  similar preparations.

One of the versions of its creation dates back to the 19th century. It involves Pedro Montt. who could not find his Colt revolver duringa meeting with friends, in which this punch was prepared due to the shortageof other drinks.
